It was at the Montreal Olympic Games 1976 that she had one of the most memorable sporting moments of all time - - the very first perfect 10, on the bars that were asymmetrical. And to top it all off the achievement, Comaneci was able to record six more perfect 10s to become the youngest Olympic Gold medalist. The accomplishment of Nadia Comaneci was not only to get international attention, but she also brought Romania on the map. A sports legend came into the spotlight after achieving an unprecedented score, thus making her a celebrity and promoting the sport of gymnastics all over the world. This has also changed how people view female gymnasts. Such was her impact at the Olympics that an uneven bars contest has two moves named after her toe-on and release, both of which are, till date, rated at a high difficulty and level. Alongside the Olympics her performance also included impressive performance at every single event, including her World Championships & European Championships. As a result, she became a legendary gymnast and one of greatest athletes that the world has ever seen.
